Rebecca Farmer moved from Perth, Australia, to London soon after finishing university. Having studied a BA Economics at The University of Western Australia, once in the UK she retrained as a Montessori Teacher and Early Childhood Educator. In her previous role as Deputy CEO of Straight Talking Peer Education, Rebecca worked within secondary schools in London and Birmingham. A growing desire to dedicate her efforts to the support children and young people living in abject poverty led her to Christianna Foundation in 2018. Rebecca also works as a volunteer with the Adolescent Lives Project, a partner project between University College London and The American College of Beirut, looking at mental health issues faced by adolescents affected by forced migration in Lebanon.
